Job Description: Maintenance Supervisor

Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Must have heavy industrial or melting metal environment experience. Has managed maintenance employees for more than 7 to10 years. Lead a team of mechanical and electrical technicians including working side by side on repairs with the team. Heavy industrial electrical knowledge of three-phase and single-phase experience required 120/240/480 volt.
Necessary Technical Skills:
- PLC experience – preferably Allen Bradly, some Siemens a plus – min 1 year
- 480V 3-Phase power experience preferably in manufacturing
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience
- Ability to read electrical schematics.
- NFPA 70 (NEC) & 70E (electrical safety) familiarity
- Arc flash training a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision and Leadership:
· Supervise and direct maintenance employees and contractors.
· Assign tasks, set priorities, and ensure work is completed efficiently and effectively.
· Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to team members.
· Manage schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels.
Maintenance Planning and Execution:
· Planning, prioritizing, assigning, supervising, reviewing and participating in tasks related to industrial equipment and facility maintenance.
· Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly and effectively.
· Inspect facilities and equipment to identify potential problems and ensure proper functioning.
· Expected to perform maintenance work and to train other maintenance employees.
· Order and manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment.
Safety and Compliance:
· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
· Conduct safety inspections and address safety concerns promptly.
· Provide safety training to team members.
Communication and Collaboration:
· Communicate effectively with team members, management, and other stakeholders.
· Maintain clear and accurate records of maintenance activities.
· Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Technical Specific Skills:

- Previous experience in electrical engineering or other related fields
- Familiarity with electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals
- Familiarity with electrical equipment and hand tools
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Authorized to work in the United States
Essential/Technical Skills:
- Strong Leadership and Supervisory Skills: Ability to motivate, direct, and evaluate team members.
- Technical Knowledge: Must have 7+ yrs experience in a metals manufacturing/heavy industrial setting, plus general understanding of various maintenance disciplines, such as AC motors, mechanical experience, plumbing, burners, HVAC, etc.
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Ability to troubleshoot problems, identify solutions, and implement effective maintenance strategies.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain accurate records.
- Budgeting and Financial Management Skills: Ability to develop and manage budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Safety Knowledge: Understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
- Proficiency in relevant software: CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), MS Office, etc., CAD experience a plus
