Our Client, a Automotive Manufacturing company, is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor for their Bedford, IN location.
 
Responsibilities:
  • The main function of a production supervisor is to supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers.
  • Recommend measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
  • Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
  • Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, and maintenance to detect production problems.
  • Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff, and resolve personal grievances.
  • Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.
  • Getting manpower lined up for the day.
  • Pass on meeting that starts half hour.
  • They will complete a huddle up meeting and team departs.
  • Constantly on the floor on their feet.
  • Running operation on floor and managing safety issues.
  • Assisting with improvement project with machine down time.
  • Also, will require end of shift reports.
  • Updating excel shift.
  • Need basic computer skills.
  • Need to be technically minded.
  • No air-conditioned facility. 
  • Attendance is important!
  • Have 15 to 20 team members and 2 team leaders.
 
Requirements:
  • Verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.
  • High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in business or related field preferred.
  • 2 years experience required.
  • Look for Group Leader experience if they do not have degree.
  • Candidate needs to have manufacturing experience.
  • Organizational leadership, management degree, and technical degree will help and be a bonus for the team.
  • Need the technical background and be familiar with the die cast.
  • Candidates will need union experience.
  • They may oversee the production team, too!
