The Maintenance Manager's responsibilities consist of ensuring that the facilities, layout and machinery used daily to conduct normal operations runs to maximum efficiency and output by performing diagnostic tests, evaluates equipment performance, performs preventive maintenanceof equipmentand troubleshoots &performs equipment/systems repairs both routine and emergency.

- Diagnoses and repairs, services and inspects facility equipment and property to include: overhead cranes, production machinery, material handling equipment and facility grounds.
- Reviews work requests to determine problem and resolution, arranges schedules and delegates assignments in a manner that results in minimum equipment downtime.
- Complies with company and OSHA safety policies and safe work practices, e.g. lock out/tag out, safety data sheets and hazardous material usage.
- Operates industrial equipment and observes mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems.
- Inspects or tests damaged machine parts, and marks defective areas and notifies the Plant Manager of repair needs and problems that might affect production schedules.
- Performs building and equipment maintenance, repair and improvements. Performs preventive maintenance on CNC machinery, electrical and hydraulic systems, overhead cranes and other fabricating equipment.
- Installs, replaces, or changes machine parts, attachments and new equipment according to production specifications.
- Purchases maintenance and operations supplies.
- Schedules outside contractors to perform major repairs and monitors the work performed.
- Minimizes severity or frequency of accidents of outside contractors and maintenance personnel through risk identification process.
- Experience with the maintenance and repair of oxy-fuel torches, plasma torches, band saws, shears, mobile equipment and cranes is a plus.
- Reassembles machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work.
- Lubricates or applies adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment, according to specified procedures.
- Records production, repair, and machine maintenance information.
- Reads maintenance repair work orders and specifications to determine machine and equipment requiring repair or maintenance.
- Inspects, operates or test machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
- Sets up and operates machines, and adjust controls to regulate operations
- Reviews and assigns work to the maintenance technician to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment.
- Maintains equipment files and orders spare-parts inventory on service center equipment and work effectively with operations to implement a preventive maintenance program to improve equipment uptime (or reliability).
- Drives company motor vehicle (non-DOT) occasionally for local pick-up for parts or equipment.
- Plans and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.
- Regular and predictable attendance is required to perform the duties of a Plant Maintenance Manager in the warehouse.
- Adheres to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.
- Adheres to Reliance Steel and Aluminum's Code of Conduct as well as customer confidentiality requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned or needed.

Position Qualifications:
- High / Technical School Graduate or Equivalent
- Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and perform repairs
- Must possess a minimum of 5 years as a maintenance supervisor in a production/manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read English (to read maintenance work orders, schematics/blueprints, safety and policy manuals)
- Ability to comprehend electrical --mechanical and hydraulic systems, HVAC and plumbing systems
- Knowledge of electricity (110, 230 and 460 voltage)
- Experience operating an overhead crane, forklift, hand tools and common shop machinery
- Basic measuring skills to read English & Metric systems and a tape measure, caliper or micrometer
- Ability to interface effectively with all departments to foster a success-oriented, deadline driven organization
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism and diplomacy to both internal and external customers.
- Must have basic arithmetic skills to calculate and convert decimals and fractions
- Computer Literacy to include Microsoft Office Products and computer programming CNC.
- Demonstrated ability to perform electronic, mechanical and hydraulic repairs used in electrical and mechanical work assignments
- Must have strong analytical, organizational and decision-making skills to execute and manage effectively.
- Must be highly motivated, results-oriented individual with the ability to lead and manage others.
- Demonstrated manual dexterity, finger dexterity, arm-hand steadiness, and multi-limb coordination

- Valid OSHA Forklift certification

- Valid Aerial Work Platform Certificate
- Valid OSHA 30 Hour Safety Certification
- Current & Valid NFPA 70E Arc Flash Certification
- Current & Valid OSHA 3095 -- Electrical Standards Certification
- Current & Valid OSHA 3115 -- Fall Protection Certificate
- Current & Valid OSHA 7115 -- Lock Out/ Tag Out Certificate
- Valid and current driver's license in good standing
- Valid RSAC Reasonable Suspicion Training
Physical Demands:
Occupation requires physical activity more than 80% of the time (> 6.5 hours per day)
- Stand, walk, sit, handling/fingering, reach outward, reach above shoulder, climb, squat or kneel or bend, prolonged extension of neck
- Use of extension ladders, aerial cranes with harness
- Regularly required to work on multiple concurrent tasks with constant interruptions
- Lift, carry, push and/or pull 51 -- 100 lbs. with assistance

- Must wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE)

- Hard hats with helmet light and chin strap; chin strap must be worn at all times while in the warehouse
