This role is integral in orchestrating maintenance activities by meticulously planning, scheduling, and leading a team to ensure optimal performance of facility equipment. The individual will be at the forefront of fostering a safe and compliant work environment, aligning with MSHA standards while driving the success of preventative and predictive maintenance strategies. Collaboration across operations, contractor teams, and inventory staff is crucial to minimize equipment downtime and bolster reliability in a demanding industrial setting.
Key duties include crafting precise maintenance work orders and creating detailed job plans, managing and mentoring maintenance teams, and enforcing safety standards. The individual will also coordinate contractor work and oversee major equipment overhauls. They will maintain thorough records and histories using CMMS software, troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, and contribute to capital improvements and efficiency enhancements. Inspections will be conducted in both above-ground and subterranean settings.
Candidates should possess over 5 years of experience in a maintenance supervisory or planning capacity, with expertise in heavy industrial settings such as mining or manufacturing. Mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills are essential, as is proficiency with CMMS tools like SAP. Experience with PLCs and Allen-Bradley systems is an advantage, and candidates must be adaptable to underground conditions and varying shifts.
