Our client, an industry leading manufacturer of precision metal and steel components, has an immediate need for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic, to join their winning team in Springfield.
Our candidate of choice will perform the assembly, testing, and verification of advanced fluid‑control components for Aerospace, Nuclear and other applications. Our perfect match is a hands‑on technician who thrives in a precision manufacturing environment and enjoys working with complex electro‑mechanical systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform assembly and performance testing of mechanical and/or electro‑mechanical fluid‑control devices in accordance with engineering procedures, blueprints, and schematics.
- Operate, maintain, and help develop high‑pressure test systems, including pneumatic, hydraulic, and calibration‑fluid test stands and pumps.
- Conduct electrical testing and verification using a variety of electronic diagnostic tools.
- Work within controlled clean‑room environments and conduct particulate analysis with accurate data collection.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and validate hardware using systematic diagnostic methods.
- Utilize oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic equipment to support testing and analysis.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Lift and move equipment or components up to 50 lbs as needed.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5 years of technical or mechanical maintenance experience.
- Experience using various hand and measurement tools including but not limited to torque wrenches, height gauges, and calipers.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical procedures.
- Proven experience assembling and testing electro‑mechanical hardware.
- Hands‑on experience with high‑pressure fluid, gas, and cryogenic testing.
- Proficiency in electrical testing, including dielectric and insulation‑resistance testing.
- Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience working in clean‑room environments.
- Manufacturing or machining experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair hardware using diagnostic tools.
