Maintenance Manager Santa Teresa, NM

Summary:
Directs and assists and oversees Installation, maintenance, and repairs of all machinery, equipment, and physical structure in manufacturing facility. Prioritizes maintenance activities and provides expertise to maintenance personnel to meet production requirements.


Essential duties:
  • Ensures proper preventive maintenance performed and documented on all designated PM equipment.
  • Assist in purchases, movement and installation of capital equipment.
  • Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
  • Creates and maintains asset files consisting of manuals, maintenance history, drawings, warranties and other pertinent documentation.
  • Determines weekly schedule for Maintenance crew on all shifts based on workload.
  • Oversees minor repairs and maintenance of physical structure.
  • Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, and drilling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.
  • Orders materials, tools and equipment required for maintaining and improving equipment operation.
  • Confers with other supervisors and managers to coordinate activities of individual departments.
  • Oversees and performs preventative maintenance duties as required by maintenance procedures.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Provide leadership and directs the work of the maintenance team and contractors.
  • Coordinate staff to ensure support whenever production staff is operating equipment.
  • Maintain an adequate and appropriate number of staff.
  • Ensures maintenance employees are properly trained. Studies standardized procedures to improve efficiency of the team.
  • Ensures the use of safe work practices by staff and contractors as required by policy and/or regulatory standards.
  • Develops and maintains a cohesive team; works with appropriate personnel to resolve issues of conflict, which may include issuance of corrective actions.

Requirements:
  • High school education or equivalent with 6 year’s maintenance or related experience. 
  • Proven experience as a maintenance manager or other managerial role.
  • Excellent, demonstrated mechanical skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills. Including ability to interpret and comprehend safety, operations, and maintenance documents and procedures, including wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Good math skills; ability to calculate and comprehend necessary math concepts.
  • Ability to move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to obtain/retain an industrial powered lift truck license, overhead crane permit, LOTO authorization.

Starting salary 72K

Working hours are 7:00am to 3:30pm with possible overtime as needed.
