Maintenance Manager – Tier 1 Automotive

Our client, a Tier 1 automotive manufacturer, is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead equipment reliability, facility operations, and maintenance team performance in a high-volume production environment. This role focuses on uptime, preventive maintenance, and developing a strong skilled trades organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead maintenance and repair of all production equipment to maximize uptime

  2. Drive Preventive Maintenance / TPM strategy and continuous reliability improvements

  3. Schedule maintenance to support production priorities and reduce downtime

  4. Oversee facility systems including HVAC, compressed air, utilities, and building maintenance

  5. Manage equipment installations, modifications, and capital projects

  6. Ensure compliance with safety, NEC, and ISO/IATF standards

  7. Manage contractors, service providers, and maintenance vendors

  8. Oversee spare parts inventory and maintenance cost control

  9. Track downtime, PM completion, and maintenance KPIs

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent maintenance leadership experience considered

  • 6–8+ years maintenance leadership in Tier 1 automotive or high-volume manufacturing

  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and facility systems knowledge

  • Experience with TPM, PM systems, and reliability improvements

  • Proven leadership of skilled trades teams

  • Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset
