Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the maintenance and repair of all manufacturing equipment, with a focus on automation and industrial machinery, to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
2. Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to prolong equipment life and increase efficiency.
3. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory standards, including USDA, FDA, SQF, and HACCP.
4. Collaborate with other department managers to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
5. Lead and mentor the maintenance team, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
6. Manage the maintenance budget, including forecasting and controlling costs.
7. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for equipment parts and services as needed.
8. Develop and maintain documentation for maintenance procedures, equipment manuals, and regulatory compliance records.
9. Participate in safety audits and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance management role in the manufacturing industry, preferably in the food sector.
3. Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with automation and industrial equipment.
4. Familiarity with USDA, FDA, SQF, and HACCP regulations.
5. Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
7. Proficiency in using maintenance management software and other computer applications.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
9. Strong commitment to safety and quality, with a proactive approach to preventative maintenance.
10. Availability to respond to emergency maintenance situations outside of regular business hours, as needed.
