Maintenance Manager
(Food & Dairy Manufacturing)-Monticello, WI
Growing production facility now hiring an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations in a food/dairy manufacturing environment, driving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on building strong preventive maintenance systems and developing a skilled team.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead maintenance operations to maximize uptime in a food production environment
- Implement and strengthen preventive & predictive maintenance programs
- Own CMMS (work orders, PM compliance, parts/inventory tracking)
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and automation issues on processing and packaging equipment
- Drive root cause analysis to improve reliability and OEE
- Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety, and regulatory standards
- Lead, coach, and develop maintenance technicians and mechanics
- Manage schedules, staffing, contractors, and maintenance budget
- Partner closely with production to support efficient, safe operations
Qualifications
- 7+ years of maintenance experience in food manufacturing (dairy strongly preferred)
- Background as a maintenance mechanic or technician with hands-on troubleshooting experience
- Strong knowledge of processing/packaging equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems
- Experience building and improving PM programs and maintenance systems
- CMMS experience required
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience
Work Environment
- Food manufacturing facility (cool/wet conditions, regulated sanitation environment)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on the production floor
