Machinist/Machine Operator

Skill Level:

• Pay Range: $19.50 - $ 22.15 per hour
• Hours 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. overtime as necessary.

Job Duties:

• Operate a variety of machines working with differing materials (Manual and CNC Milling Machine, Manual and CNC Lathe, Laser) in a production environment.
• Computer skills necessary.
• Accurately measure and identify types of material in accordance with product specifications.
• Work with different types of materials, i.e., stainless steel, mild steel, aluminum, and plastics.
• Program and operate machines to meet engineered specifications and tolerances.
• Provide daily operator maintenance of tooling and machines as required.
• Use hand tools, including air and electrical power tools, as required for part preparation.
• Observe machine operations to detect any problems; make necessary adjustments.
• Obtain signoff’s and operate other equipment necessary in machine operation.
• Employee must be reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfill obligations.
• Observe all safety requirements.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Skills Required:

• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans and drawings.
• The ability to adjust the controls of a machine quickly and repeatedly to exact positions.
• TIG/MIG welding skills a bonus
• Minimum age 18.
• Successful passage of drug screen and physical.
• Lift properly up to 50 lbs.
• Basic math skills.
