Machinist 1:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:?- Required operations:
- Centerless Grind with setup and program editing or Double Disc Finish with setup and program editing
- Core Drill with setup and program editing
- CNC Slice with setup and program edit
- Desired operations include the following:
- Centerless Grind with setup and program editing and Double Disc Finish with setup and program editing
- DCM with setup and program editing
- Achieve and maintain tolerances greater than .0005 independently for 1 of the following: MWS, STC or Surface Grind maintaining tolerance above .0005 independently
- Monitor and improve process efficiencies.
- Assist with root cause analysis and defect reduction.
- Train and mentor Operators 1 and 2.
- Achieve and maintain tolerances of .0008 - .0005 independently.
- Assistance for meeting tolerances tighter than .0005 (required)
- Assistance with setups requiring G Code changes.
- Ensure all processes meet quality and safety standards.
- Assist with machine troubleshooting and minor maintenance.
- Maintain autonomous maintenance schedule.
- Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year machining experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Basic CNC operation experience preferred.
