- Days | 6:00am-6:00pm
- Nights | 6:00pm-6:00am
Machine Operator – Job Summary
In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous operation of assigned production workstation in line with the company's manufacturing standards.
Machine Operator – Responsibilities
- Responsible for operating various manual and automated equipment in the production process
- Work and train with Maintenance to be able to perform repairs and assist in machine change overs
- Work with others to produce quality products that meet customers' needs
- Provides quality work and ensures accurate recordings
- Keep machine operating
- Adhering to all company policies including but not limited to: GMP, PPE, Food Safety, Safety, Gluten Free, Sanitation, etc.
- Maintaining the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and following safety regulations
- Determine and report malfunctions to the appropriate people
- Performing preventative maintenance on machines as required
- Remaining familiar with the basic machine functions to perform the tasks stated above
- Other Machine Operators or the Production Lead will be back up support to this position
- Performing other work-related duties as assigned
Machine Operator – Requirements
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Previous experience operating manufacturing machinery preferred
- Great attention to detail
- Basic math and reading comprehension
- Good overall knowledge of safety, sanitation, manufacturing operations and quality
- Team player – ability to work well with other employees, departments, etc.
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English
- Ability to use basic technology (Will be utilizing Outlook, Safefood, etc.)
- Ability to lift and/or move weight up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to work standing, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms
- Non-slip shoes required
