Finishing Operator
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00/hr
Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm
Location: Hudson, OH
Key Responsibilities:
Assembly of small parts
Use bending fixtures to shape parts
Use presses to install parts
Use hand tools
Lift up to 50lb boxes repeatedly
Hand sort parts
Perform QA checks on running parts
Replace labels and ribbons on label makers
Basic piece and time transactions on RF scanner
Lubricate equipment as needed
Use of basic quality gages
Meet production schedules and timelines
Complete all paperwork the role requires
Follow all work instructions in the department
- Direct production in finishing department
- Minimize overtime for the finishing department
- Implemented for internal and external finishing complaints
- Provide exceptional finishing quality by maintaining customer confidence
- Verifying any bindery/finishing meets work orders guidelines
- Provide technical support to the dyeing and finishing department
- Lead the finishing staff and processes including the preparation
- Supervise all personnel and activities of the finishing department
- Estimating finishing performance data to evaluate new business opportunities
- Assist the operation in solving dyeing and finishing technical issues
- Establishing and sustaining a clean and well organized finishing department
- Guided in accordance to schedules
- Operate all finishing equipment and plating line
- Operate and maintain finishing equipment and coordinate training and resources
- Perform required set-ups and operation of the appropriate finishing equipment
- Participate in the hiring, orientation and training of new finishing personnel
- Apply all finishing material to component parts and racks for air-drying
- Managing work order trends and downtime reduction improvements within the finishing department
- Plan daily garment and transfer finishing operations that meet or exceed customer
- Solving Key Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to perform at high levels in a fast pace constantly changing environment
Ability to work as part of a team
Experience with RF guns
Basic computer skills
Regular and predictable attendance
Mechanical aptitude
1-3 years in a manufacturing environment
Strong communication skills
