LTC Pharmacist Compensation
- The pay for this position is $64.27 per hour
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
LTC Pharmacist Highlights
- · This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- The required availability for this position is 7 days on / 7 days off, 12:30PM – 10:30PM
LTC Pharmacist Responsibilities
- Accept and dispense prescription medications
- Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns
- Ensure pharmacy operations comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and pharmacy files
- Provide patient counseling on medication usage, dosage, side effects, and interactions
- Answer patient questions regarding prescription and non-prescription medications
- Compound medications for internal and external use
- Prepare sterile solutions following proper procedures
- Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks
- Maintain appropriate inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies
- Identify drug-related problems and collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, LTC Pharmacists, and pharmacy interns
LTC Pharmacist Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
- Active LTC Pharmacist license issued by the State Board of Pharmacy
- High School Diploma or GED
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
LTC Pharmacist Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a clinical, hospital, or retail pharmacy setting
- Experience with sterile compounding is a plus
