- LPN Coordinator Pay: $23.09-$33.28 per hour.

Certified Medical Assistant Coordinator Job Profile Summary
Accountable for supporting providers with the coordination and delivery of high quality professional care to patients and families within the Occupational Medicine Clinic.
Certified Medical Assistant Coordinator Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
- Breath, Alcohol, and Drug Collection Certification required upon hire.
One of the following is required upon hire:
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) - National Healthcareer Association (NHA) and Medical Assistant diploma Upon Hire or
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - American Medical Certification Association (AMCA) Upon Hire or
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) Upon Hire or
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - American Medical Technologists (AMT) Upon Hire or
- National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) – National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)

A Brief Overview
Responsible within scope of practice for providing high quality professional care to patients and families under the supervision of the provider. Interprets and implements operating practices and policies to support patient care in the clinical setting. Responsible for the management of company protocols for patients in Occupational Medicine and coordinating policy updates with appropriate parties within Avera. Communicates with physicians as well as other healthcare team members to provide excellent patient care. Assists in the orientation of new staff within the department.
What you will do
- Keeps waiting room area and exam rooms neat, organized and stocked with appropriate supplies.
- Greets patients and prepares them for medical exam, rooms patients following the rooming check list, observes, records and reports patient’s condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to providers, gathers health history, medication list, takes vitals and documents appropriately in the EMR.
- Independently performs all exam types in Occupational Medicine to include, but not limited to, the following: immigration exams, breath alcohol tests, pulmonary function tests, immunizations, new employee wellness exams, drug screens, audiology exams, flight physicals, department of transportation (DOT) physicals, tuberculosis screening, etc.
- Disposes of biohazardous waste, performs sterilization procedures, and uses standard precautions.
- Instructs and/or observes patients in the collection of specimens.
- Prepares the equipment and assists provider during procedures, treatments examinations and testing of patients.
- Follows up with phone calls and tasks in a timely manner.
- Manages all supply and medication ordering for the department, stocking the exam rooms as needed. Monitor equipment, supplies, and meds for proper storage and expiration dates.
- Assures appropriate labeling and packaging of lab specimens according to lab procedures and x-rays according to radiology procedures. Assists in cleaning /maintaining lab equipment.
- Coordinates community opportunities to provide Occupational Medicine services amongst local businesses. Provide on-site screenings, exams, etc. as needed for local businesses.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
- Breath, Alcohol, and Drug Collection Certification - Licensing Board within 180 Days and
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Board of Nursing An active license in the state of practice Upon Hire
