Logistics Supervisor – Romeoville, IL
Pay: $70,000–$90,000/year
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
We are seeking a Logistics Supervisor to oversee the movement of materials between production, outside warehouses, and customers. This role ensures efficient shipping, receiving, and production support, reduces downtime, and maintains safety and quality standards.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage material flow between production, warehouses, and customers to minimize downtime and errors
- Schedule and assign workloads for shipping, receiving, and production support
- Hire, coach, and discipline warehouse staff to maintain a high-performing team
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, attendance policies, and safety programs
- Track daily KPIs, update productivity boards, and oversee shift changeovers
- Uphold BRC Food Safety and GMP standards
What You’ll Do
- Train staff in SQF, GMP, and forklift safety; maintain equipment and vehicles
- Review daily schedules to align staffing and reduce downtime
- Manage release requests, driver schedules, and coordinate with internal teams
- Verify work order quantities, reconcile BOLs, and investigate discrepancies
- Oversee pallet exchanges, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation
- Support production teams, troubleshoot shipping/inventory issues, and assist accounting
- Monitor safety, quality, and compliance while driving continuous improvement
Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s preferred
- 5+ years in food manufacturing and shipping/receiving; temperature-controlled warehouse experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; Microsoft D365 a plus
- Experience operating stand-up forklifts and maintaining warehouse safety
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and cross-department collaboration skills
