Experience with hands on inventory control, cycle counts, inventory audit and lot/serial control proficiency with barcode tracking. Strong organizational skills.

 

Ability to develop purchasing strategies to ensure continuous support of company mission statement. Establish and maintain strategic alliances with direct material vendors. Experience in the research, pricing and procurement of electronic or aircraft related parts and equipment. Ability to suggest alternatives to requested items if needed.

Knowledge of FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL and other modes of shipping DOT, lATA Haz-Mat certification or experience.  Experience verifying items received by inspecting condition of item; comparing count/measure of items to purchase order and packing list. Distribution of item according to instructions.

Establishes operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.

Inspects physical condition of warehouse and equipment.

Prepares work order for repairs.

Submit RFQs and purchase orders for stock and non-stocked items.

Develop, evaluate and select vendors for wide range of parts and equipment.

Confers with department heads to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other functions such as production, sales, records control, and purchasing.

Directs salvage of damaged or used material.

Participates in planning personnel safety and plant protection activities.



Job Requirements:

Ability to read and speak English, comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos plus write simple correspondence Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

 

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

Individual must be computer literate and proficient on MS Office products.

Computerized Inventory Tracking Microsoft Family Barcode Software and RF scanners experience is preferred.

Experience with internet software, inventory software and order processing systems is preferred.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Complete working knowledge of:

Warehouse control, inventory control, and related duties

Shipping and receiving

Purchasing procedures from sourcing to final purchase

Inspection procedures

Tools and their accountability

Knowledge of occupational hazards and proper safety precautions for performing manual labor consisting of heavy lifting.

Ability to correctly operate fork-lifts, hand trucks and hand tools.

Self-starter with proven track record and strong work history and attention to detail.

 

Aircraft load experience a plus.
