Strong understanding of supply chain management principles including procurement, category management, and freight logistics
Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle ERP, as well as AS400 or similar platforms for inventory management
Experience with warehouse experience including shipping & receiving, materials handling, and warehouse management systems (WMS)
Excellent analysis skills with the ability to collect data, perform root cause analysis, and develop process improvements
Knowledge of transportation planning tools like NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) systems and 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) providers
Familiarity with demand planning software such as MRP (Material Requirements Planning), production planning tools, and supply chain analytics
Effective negotiation skills for procurement activities including pricing negotiations and contract management
Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment operation including forklift certification where applicable
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Oversee end-to-end supply chain activities, including transportation management, warehouse operations, and inventory control
Coordinate shipping & receiving processes, ensuring accurate order fulfillment and timely dispatching
Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS) to track shipments, optimize routes, and improve delivery schedules
Conduct root cause analysis on logistics issues to identify process improvements and implement corrective actions
Collaborate with vendors and suppliers through effective sourcing, negotiation, and vendor management strategies
Manage materials handling operations using mechanical knowledge and forklift certifications to ensure safe and efficient warehouse movement
Analyze supply chain data using SQL, Tableau, and other data analysis tools to inform demand planning, pricing strategies, and inventory stocking decisions
