Job Details

We are seeking a high-impact Logistics Manager to lead transportation execution across a rapidly growing consumer products supply chain. This role owns the end-to-end coordination of domestic and international freight, ensuring reliable product movement from co-manufacturing partners through distribution centers and ultimately to major retail and club customers.

The Logistics Manager will play a critical role in maintaining on-time delivery performance, routing compliance, and freight cost optimization while building strong relationships with carriers, freight brokers, and logistics partners.

This position sits at the center of the supply chain, working closely with Sales, Demand Planning, Customer Logistics, Operations, and Finance to ensure seamless product flow and strong service levels as the business continues to scale.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on logistics professional who thrives in fast-paced CPG environments, enjoys solving transportation challenges, and is motivated by improving processes and building efficient freight networks.

Key Responsibilities:

Transportation Operations

  • Manage daily domestic transportation activities, including inbound shipments from co-manufacturers and outbound deliveries to retail and club customers.
  • Coordinate shipment planning, routing, and scheduling with carriers, brokers, manufacturing partners, and 3PL distribution centers.
  • Ensure strict retailer routing guide compliance and appointment scheduling for major national accounts.
  • Proactively manage transportation issues, including delivery delays, carrier service failures, and shipment exceptions to protect customer service levels.
  • Maintain visibility across the transportation network to ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery performance.

Carrier & Logistics Partner Management

  • Build and manage relationships with transportation carriers, freight brokers, and logistics providers to ensure reliable service and competitive market rates.
  • Track and evaluate carrier performance metrics, including service levels, transit times, and cost efficiency.
  • Support carrier sourcing and rate negotiations in partnership with supply chain leadership.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and 3PL partners to ensure efficient coordination between transportation and distribution operations.

Freight Cost Management & Optimization

  • Review and approve freight invoices while partnering with Finance to ensure billing accuracy and cost transparency.
  • Monitor freight spend and identify opportunities to reduce cost while maintaining service reliability.
  • Support transportation cost improvement initiatives, including mode optimization, carrier consolidation, and routing improvements.

International Logistics Coordination

  • Coordinate international inbound shipments in partnership with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
  • Ensure proper import/export documentation, customs compliance, and regulatory adherence.
  • Track inbound international freight schedules to maintain inventory availability and supply continuity.

Cross-Functional Supply Chain Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Sales, Customer Logistics, Planning, and Operations teams to support customer deliveries and retail service requirements.
  • Provide logistics insights that support improved service reliability, cost efficiency, and supply chain scalability.
  • Contribute to transportation process improvements and logistics infrastructure development as the company grows.
