Logistics Manager

We are on the lookout for a proactive individual to spearhead and enhance our organization's freight operations in Elkhart, Indiana. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, you will be instrumental in managing both incoming and outgoing transportation logistics. If you have a background in freight brokerage, third-party logistics, or manufacturing logistics, then this is a great opportunity to apply your expertise in load structuring and cost management to boost our transportation efficiency. Collaborating with production units, freight brokers, dealers, and third-party partners, your mission is to facilitate efficient, timely, and budget-friendly shipments. The role requires handling around 10–20 loads weekly, mainly using flatbed and standard freight methods. Key duties include optimizing load planning for cost effectiveness and improved margins, overseeing freight financial performance and budgets, and cultivating productive relationships with external logistics partners. Success in this role is dependent on managing logistics documentation, navigating compliance requirements, tracking shipments, and addressing logistical issues promptly. By constantly assessing carriers, routes, and logistics strategies, you'll enhance service quality and cost-effectiveness. Strong communication skills are crucial for liaising with both internal teams and external partners, aiding in aligning shipping priorities with business growth objectives.
