Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced Permanent Logistics Coordinator to join our team. This role is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our fast-paced, growth-oriented business. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of our logistics operations, including international and domestic shipments, carrier coordination, rate negotiation, cost containment, and maintaining shipper and carrier relationships.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day logistics and operational needs, ensuring efficient and effective processes are in place.
  • Coordinate the daily management and coordination of international and domestic shipments with shippers/warehouse and carriers.
  • Negotiate rates with carriers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Evaluate shipments, consolidate loads, and select the most cost-effective method of delivery.
  • Maintain and manage relationships with shippers and carriers, ensuring high-quality service and timely delivery.
  • Utilize your expertise in freight auditing, logistics accounting, and transportation invoice processing to enhance our operations.
  • Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS), ERP software, and Microsoft Excel to manage and track shipments and logistics operations.
  • Identify and implement strategies for cost containment of shipments.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations and laws related to international and domestic shipments.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in freight auditing, logistics accounting, or transportation invoice processing.
  • Proven experience in transportation management, including managing the day-to-day logistics and operational needs.
  • Experience with the daily management and coordination of international and domestic shipments with shippers/warehouse and carriers.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with a track record of negotiating rates and cost containment of shipments.
  • Extensive experience with freight auditing, logistics accounting, or transportation invoice processing.
  • Proficiency with FTL, LTL, NVOCC, air freight, small package, warehousing, import/export consolidations, world distributions, and project cargo/heavy haul.
  • Proficiency with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), ERP software, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to manage shipper and carrier relationships effectively.
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
