Join our team as a Locum - Physician - General Medicine KY and make a meaningful impact by providing crucial assessments to our nation's Veterans. This flexible, PRN opportunity allows you to utilize your expertise in general medicine, internal medicine, or family medicine to conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across Kentucky, supporting Veterans' well-being. Required Skills:
- Valid medical license in Kentucky
- Board certification or equivalent in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or related fields
- Experience performing medical assessments, interviews, and physical evaluations
- Knowledge of compensation and pension exam procedures highly preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and adhere to protocol guidelines
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience with Veterans Affairs or government healthcare assessments
- Familiarity with mobility and range of motion testing
- Excellent report writing and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree (MD or DO)
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience post-residency
- Prior experience in disability evaluations, compensation, or pension exams is advantageous
Other Requirements:
- Own office location in Kentucky within a 50-mile radius of Paducah for designated days
- Ability to perform 4-hour (half-day) or 8-hour (full-day) shifts as needed
- No licensing, certification, or travel reimbursements paid prior to employment
- Willingness to undergo quick credentialing and onboarding process
- Local candidates only; travel is included in the rate
