Required Skills:
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine
- Valid state medical license and DEA registration
- Minimum of 5+ shifts per month with ongoing availability for at least 12 months
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with MediTech EMR systems
- Prior work in a similar emergency department setting
- Knowledge of trauma and transfer protocols
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree (MD or DO)
- At least 3 years of Emergency Medicine clinical experience
- Demonstrated capability to handle high-volume emergency departments (average 55-60 patients daily)
Other Requirements:
- Credentialing process estimated at 60+ days, with start date contingent upon completion
- Must secure and maintain all necessary licenses and certifications
- Travel arrangements should be coordinated through the employer; no third-party agencies
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7a)
- Ability to handle transfers to nearby facilities as needed (Riverside, Grant, Genesis, OSU, Aultman)
