Join our team as a Locum Physician Assistant (PA) in Urgent Care and Occupational Health! As a vital part of our healthcare delivery, you will provide episodic care, injury treatment, and support a diverse patient population across all age groups, from adolescents to geriatrics. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide episodic urgent care and occupational health services
- Treat injuries and manage acute medical conditions
- Document all patient encounters accurately within the Anthem EMR system
- Function autonomously while coordinating with supervising physicians
- Cater to a diverse demographic including adolescents, children, adults, and geriatric patients
Required Skills:
- Active Physician Assistant license in Virginia
- Proven experience in urgent care and occupational health settings
- Strong clinical assessment and procedural skills
- Excellent communication and patient management abilities
- Ability to work independently with supervision support via phone
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with Anthem EMR documentation
- Bilingual proficiency
- Additional certifications related to urgent care or occupational health
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in urgent care and occupational health settings
Other Requirements:
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Reliable transportation for local mileage reimbursement (billed at IRS standard rate)
- Ability to adapt to varying shift schedules and ongoing coverage needs
This position offers an hourly pay rate of $117.00, with weekly direct deposit payments and comprehensive medical benefits.
