Join Our Team as a Locum Nurse Practitioner – General Medicine IN

We are seeking motivated and professional General Medicine Providers to fulfill critical Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments nationwide. What You Will Do:

  • Perform interview-based exams and physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
  • Conduct non-treatment, one-time C&P exams and health assessments for Veterans.
  • Collaborate with Veterans Evaluation Services (VES), a reputable government contractor dedicated to serving our nation's Veterans.
  • Complete exams efficiently and accurately in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Submit comprehensive reports and addendums promptly.

Required Skills:
  • Current Nurse Practitioner license with a background in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or related general medicine.
  • Proven experience in conducting clinical assessments and examinations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with compensation and pension evaluations.
  • Knowledge of VA standards and procedures.
  • Prior remote or mobile clinical assessment experience.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus but not required.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) or higher.
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in a relevant setting.
  • Previous experience working with Veterans or in a government contract environment is advantageous.

Other Requirements:
  • Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the designated locations or have their own office space if required.
  • Availability to work on a PRN (as-needed) basis, including half-day (4 hours) and full-day (8 hours) shifts.
  • Willingness to complete required training and exams.
  • Local candidates only; travel costs are included in the rates.
  • Quick credentialing and onboarding process.
  • No prescribing or treatment responsibilities involved.
  • Payment structure: Flat rate of $600 for half-day shifts and $1200 for full-day shifts, with a bonus of $650 upon successful completion of training and first exams.
  • Federal and state compliance with all legal requirements.
