Join a respected healthcare team as a Locum Nurse Practitioner – Cardiology, providing vital care on Oregon’s South Coast. This 3-month assignment offers an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in a dynamic setting at Bay Area Hospital, the primary medical center serving Coos Bay and surrounding communities. Your role will contribute significantly to patient outcomes in both inpatient and outpatient cardiology services, with potential for extension.
This position features a full-time schedule (80 hours per pay period) working four 10-hour shifts from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a balanced split between inpatient and outpatient care. You will participate in a rotating schedule, alternating weekly between hospital and clinic duties, managing approximately 15-18 clinic patients and 8-15 hospital patients daily. Collaborate with a dedicated team including four physicians, an MA, triage RN team, and specialized device clinic staff. Support services include general cardiology, invasive procedures, electrophysiology, and the use of the EPIC EMR system.
Candidates must have at least one year of experience as a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner, with familiarity in general, invasive, and electrophysiology cardiology preferred. The role requires completing four hours of unpaid EPIC training prior to start, and an orientation period paid at half the hourly rate.
