Description


The Loan Setup Coordinator reviews and enters loan credit documents from our seller network to ensure they meet minimum requirements for efficient processing. This role involves correcting data, refining procedures, answering inquiries, maintaining pipeline and SLA requirements, and submitting loans for Third Party Reviews. The Setup Coordinator also identifies issues in documents and data to assist the Credit and Collateral teams and performs other related duties as assigned.

This position is based in our Bloomington, MN office and follows a hybrid work model, with 2–3 days per week onsite and the remainder remote.

Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Provide initial review and data entry of loan credit documents and data submitted from our seller network to ensure minimum requirements met to facilitate a smooth and efficient review by our review team. Documents include applications, credit reports, a variety of income verification documents, asset verifications, and evidence of property value.
  • Review data for accuracy and collect or correct as applicable.
  • Work with internal counterparts to refine procedures or enhance systems necessary to develop a thorough and efficient process.
  • Willingness to work with Operational team on any other duties necessary to acquire and securitize mortgage loan asset or as assigned by management.
  • Answer and resolve internal or external email, phone, or other inquiries
  • Maintains a current pipeline and SLA requirements for the position
  • Submit loans for TPR review, ensuring all required documents are accurately completed and submitted. Promptly address any issues by coordinating with the Seller and TPR to facilitate resolution 
  • Identify issues and discrepancies in documents and data to assist Credit and Collateral teams.
  • Maintains minimum daily file review/clearing requirements as set by management and SLA KPIs
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by team lead or manager

Education and Experience:


  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 year’s processing experience.
  • Individual must have excellent customer service skills and be comfortable with candor, interaction with other team members, and clients/vendors 
  • Ability to review loan documents and associated data specific to program and company guidelines
  • Ability to identify required conditions for missing requirements and/or data elements to facilitate the submission of a loan in accordance with company guidelines
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes in processes and workflow
  • Ability to focus on multiple programs and tasks simultaneously 
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. Under minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated judgment and decision-making ability.
  • Proficient in Windows and Adobe Applications
  • Mortgage experience is a plus but not required
