Job Details
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This is a hybrid litigation support role. You will be expected to handle both traditional litigation secretary tasks and paralegal-level work.
Core responsibilities include:
- State court e-filing and document service
- Litigation calendaring and deadline management using MyCase or similar systems
- Creating, maintaining, and updating pleading and discovery templates
- Formatting, finalizing, and proofreading pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Preparing complaints, answers, motions, oppositions, and replies from templates
- Drafting and managing discovery including form and special interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admissions, and site inspections
- Monitoring court dockets and reserving motion hearing dates
- Coordinating filings, hearings, and deadlines across multiple cases
- Supporting three attorneys with active civil litigation caseloads
- Maintaining organized electronic case files
- Acting as a point of consistency and quality control across matters
Additional responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with trial preparation and exhibit organization
- Communicating with courts, vendors, and opposing counsel as needed
- Helping streamline internal litigation processes and templates
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 3–5+ years of civil litigation experience required
- Real estate, real property, or business litigation experience strongly preferred
- ABA-approved Paralegal certificate or litigation secretary certificate preferred but not required
