We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Litigation Legal Assistant to join our high-performing legal team. This role offers an opportunity to work on complex and challenging litigation cases, providing essential support to our attorneys and clients. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a solid background in litigation, possessing strong organizational skills, an eye for detail, and a passion for the legal industry.

Responsibilities

As a Litigation Legal Assistant, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1. Assisting in the preparation and filing of legal documents, including electronic filings (efiling).
2. Managing and maintaining attorneys' calendars, ensuring all deadlines are met.
3. Coordinating and scheduling meetings, depositions, hearings, and trials.
4. Conducting legal research and assisting in the preparation of case summaries and legal briefs.
5. Liaising with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel.
6. Organizing and maintaining case files and litigation databases.
7. Assisting in the preparation of litigation budgets and cost reports.
8. Providing general administrative support to the legal team, including drafting correspondence, answering phones, and managing office supplies.

Qualifications

The successful candidate for the Litigation Legal Assistant role should possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 8 years of experience as a legal assistant with experience supporting commercial litigation in a law firm environment.
2. Proficiency in efiling and calendaring deadlines, with a strong understanding of court rules and procedures.
3. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
4. Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to understand and interpret complex legal documents.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal research platforms.
