Our prestigious law firm is seeking a dynamic, experienced Permanent Litigation Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for litigation, a sharp legal mind, and a proven track record in handling complex divorce cases, child custody disputes, and high net worth property divisions. The successful candidate will be comfortable serving as first chair, leading the legal team, and representing our clients in the courtroom. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on family law and asset tracing.

Job Details

Responsibilities:
1. Represent clients in court proceedings, acting as first chair and lead counsel.
2. Handle complex divorce cases, including those involving high net worth individuals, complex property divisions, and child custody disputes.
3. Conduct business valuations and work closely with forensic accountants for asset tracing.
4. Prepare and draft legal documents, such as pleadings, discovery requests, and responses.
5. Develop litigation strategies and negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
6. Provide sound legal advice to clients, keeping their best interests at the forefront.
7. Manage all aspects of the litigation process from investigation, pleadings, and discovery to pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.

Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
2. Admitted to the Texas State Bar and in good standing.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation attorney, specifically handling divorce, child custody, and complex property division cases.
4. Proven trial experience, with a strong ability to serve as first chair.
5. Extensive knowledge and experience in business valuation and working with forensic accountants for asset tracing.
6. Proven ability to handle high net worth cases and navigate the complexities of such cases.
7. Excellent negotiation, communication, and courtroom advocacy skills.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound legal judgments.
9. Demonstrated commitment to professional ethics and client confidentiality.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing a high-volume caseload while providing top-quality representation to our clients.
