Litigation Associate
Rainier Recruiting is partnering with a respected, full-service California law firm to hire a Litigation Associate with 23 years of business and commercial litigation experience. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career attorney who wants meaningful responsibility, strong mentorship, and long-term growth within a collaborative mid-sized firm environment.
This firm brings together attorneys across multiple practice areas to serve a diverse client base, allowing associates to work alongside experienced subject-matter specialists while developing both legal expertise and business acumen. Compensation: $145,000 $165,000

Location: Offices in the downtown San Jose and Pleasanton, California areas. Occasional travel between office locations may be required.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Active membership in the California State Bar
- Strong working knowledge of the California Code of Civil Procedure and Evidence Code
- Experience in private practice litigation, including responsibility for portions of client matters under supervision
- Excellent legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
- Interest in developing a long-term career with a collaborative mid-sized law firm
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents with precision
- Assist in case strategy development, discovery planning, and trial preparation
- Participate in settlement negotiations, hearings, court appearances, and trials
- Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas to provide comprehensive client support
