Gypsy Sol is a new culinary concept at The UnCommoner, a design-forward boutique hotel on the water in West Yarmouth. The menu is centered around **refined small plates, seasonal ingredients, and elevated execution**, created by an Executive Chef from Boston known for developing upscale dining experiences and restaurant concepts.
We are building a team of cooks who are serious about their craft and want to grow within a professional kitchen environment.
The Role
This position is designed for a cook who is ready to take the next step—working closely with the Executive Chef with a clear path toward a **Sous Chef position**.
You will be involved not just in execution, but in developing the discipline, awareness, and leadership required to grow within the kitchen.
Responsibilities
* Execute dishes with precision, consistency, and strong attention to detail
* Maintain high standards of organization, cleanliness, and station management
* Develop a deeper understanding of product handling, seasoning, and plating
* Assist with prep systems, ordering, and kitchen organization
* Contribute to a collaborative, focused, and professional kitchen culture
Qualifications
* 1–3+ years experience in a quality-driven kitchen preferred
* Strong fundamentals and a genuine interest in technique and development
* Ability to work clean, organized, and efficiently under pressure
* Team-oriented mindset with clear communication
