Royal Palm Golf Club is a private member-owned golf club within the Lely community, between downtown Naples and Marco Island. The clubhouse offers our members and their guests an inviting environment of casual elegance, exceptional service, and memorable experiences. We are currently searching for highly skilled line cooks/Sous Chef with a passion for hospitality to join our team.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and dicing.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and cooking equipment.
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Ensure all dishes are presented beautifully and meet quality standards before serving.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations.
- Proficiency with knife skills and various cooking techniques.
- Experience in culinary arts or a related field is preferred, particularly in fine dining settings.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with the food industry and food service operations.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others in the kitchen environment.
- Country Club/Private Club experience preferred
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time on hard surfaces.
- Can lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Could bend, stoop, and reach frequently throughout the workday.
- Ability to use kitchen tools, knives, and equipment requiring fine motor skills.
- Occasional need to climb ladders or step stools to access higher shelves or storage.
- Ability to work in a hot and humid environment, including being near open flames, ovens, and stoves.
- Frequent use of hands for repetitive tasks such as chopping, stirring, and plating food.
- Can work in a loud environment, with constant nose from kitchen equipment, building related equipment, conversations, and alarms.
