Our kitchen team works with fresh, seasonal ingredients, high culinary standards, and a strong emphasis on consistency, finesse, and wine-driven flavors.
Position Summary
The Line Cook prepares and executes dishes with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail. This role supports day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including prep, station management, service execution, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about food, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys working in a collaborative, positive kitchen culture.
Key Responsibilities
Cooking & Execution
Prepare and execute menu items to Siren Song s specifications during service
Examples include: pizzas, pastas, shareables, salads, and proteins
Maintain consistent portioning, seasoning, and presentation on every plate
Cook proteins to proper temps with confidence and accuracy
Follow recipes and plating guides rigorously.
Prep & Station Setup
Complete daily prep lists efficiently and maintain proper par levels
Set up station before service, stock sauces, garnishes, proteins, dough, and tools
Assist with batch-prepared items (stocks, braises, sauces, dough, roasted vegetables
Teamwork & Communication
Communicate clearly with the Head Chef, expo, and fellow cooks to support service
Adapt to the needs of winery events, dinners, and peak tasting-room traffic
Support dishwashing and other stations when needed Cleanliness & Safety
Keep a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation
Follow all food safety protocols (FIFO, labeling, temp logs)
Maintain equipment and report issues promptly
Qualifications Required
1 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen (winery, bistro, or upscale casual)
Ability to handle a fast-paced service while staying calm and focused
Solid knife skills and working knowledge of saut , grill, oven use, and pizza production
Reliability, punctuality, and a positive team attitude Preferred
Experience with European-inspired cuisine or wine-pairing dishes
Familiarity with Neapolitan pizza or wood-fired ovens
Interest in learning new global cuisines or culinary techniques
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Lift up to 50 lbs
Work in a hot kitchen environment
Bend, reach, and move quickly when needed
