Line and Deli Cook

Nick & Sons Market & Deli is a neighborhood gourmet market in the heart of Manhattan Beach. We re known for our high quality ingredients deli program, thoughtful catering platters, and warm, community focused hospitality. From stacked sandwiches and fresh salads to beautiful charcuterie boards and catered spreads, we take pride in delivering food that looks great and tastes even better.

We re looking for an experienced Deli Line Cook with at least 2+ years of kitchen or deli experience who thrives in a fast paced, high energy environment. This is a hands on role that requires attention to detail, organization, and a hospitality driven mindset.

Our deli gets busy! The right candidate is calm under pressure, respectful, neat, clean, organized, and genuinely enjoys working as part of a team.

• Prepare and execute deli menu items consistently and efficiently
  

• Build sandwiches, salads, and hot/cold prepared foods to spec
  

• Assist in the production of catering orders including charcuterie boards, sandwich platters, and specialty trays
  

• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times
  

• Follow prep lists and execute daily production tasks accurately
  

• Restock and maintain product quality throughout service
  

• Communicate clearly and respectfully with team members and management
  

• Uphold high standards of food safety and presentation
  

• 2+ years kitchen or deli experience required
  

• Experience in high volume environments preferred
  

• Hospitality driven attitude friendly, positive, and team oriented
  

• Strong work ethic and ability to stay organized under pressure
  

• Neat, clean, and detail oriented
  

• Respectful and professional demeanor
  

• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy service setting
  

• POS system knowledge
  

• Experience with catering production and execution
  

• Ordering and inventory experience
  

• Strong prep list management and kitchen organization skills
