Position Title: Aquatics Supervisor

Position Status: Seasonal (Full-Time)

Starting Pay Rate: $16.80/hour (Seasonal Range 5, $16.80-$20.20)

Department: Parks and Recreation

Facility: Lindon Aquatics Center

Opening Date: February 6, 2026

Closing Date: May 1, 2026 (11:59 PM MST)

 

General Duties:

Under the close supervision of the Parks & Recreation Superintendent & Aquatics Manager willperform professional duties to ensure the proper operationof the facility and supervise all aquatic center staff when the manager is not present. Assist in hiring, training, scheduling, supervising, andappraising LAC staff. Ensures the safetyof the patrons in and around thepools, monitoring swimmers andguests, and enforcing all safety rules and health regulations, supervisingcashiers, and maintenance/custodial staff. Will act as the on-site supervisor in the absence of the Parks & Recreation Superintendent or Pool Manager.

There are 5 assistant managers for the Aquatics center, 1 each for the following areas: Cashier & Concessions, LG Safety, Maintenance & Custodial, Scheduling & Office, WSI Programs.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:

  • Assist in hiring aquatic facility personnel,
  • Establishing policies, procedures, and safety rules for the personnel and the public.
  • Directly supervises all aquatic center staff
  • Responsible for the operation of the aquatic facility,including pool maintenance and cleaning, water chemistry testing, chemical adjustments, and
  • Performs regular chemical checks, updates, and prepares daily
  • Schedules staff to include Head Guards, Lifeguards, and other staff as needed; ensures that swimmers are well supervised in the pool and on
  • Assists in orienting new Head Guards and Lifeguards to job duties and responsibilities.
  • Ensure that all staff are current on training and
  • Assist the Pool Manager in scheduling, coordinating, and conducting in-service training
  • Ensures that lifeguards are competent in first-aid, CPR, and water rescue
  • Ensure that all LAC staff perform in accordance with established safety regulations and policies; Inventories and recognizes when supplies or equipment need to be ordered and communicates the needs to the LAC
  • Interfaces with patrons regarding concerns, problems, or any other significant issues; providesinput and feedback while responding to problems.
  • Ensures that aquatic programs are occurring as desired and assists with the overall management of swimming
  • Performs lifeguard responsibilities, including monitoring pool activities, applying first aid, and performing water rescues as necessary.

Other duties that may be required

 

  • Vacuum and sweep pools and prepare facility for opening/closing, clean and sanitize restrooms, lifeguard rooms, offices, and surrounding areas
  • Ensuresthat aquatic programs are occurring as desired and assists with the overall management of swimming events.
  • Performsany other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

  • Must be at least 17/18 years old depending upon position
  • High school graduate or equivalent, college student or graduate preferred
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of paid supervisory experience in an aquatic
  • Possess or ability to obtain American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certification, CPR for the Professional
  • Rescuer and FirstAid, and a food handler
  • Prefer American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor certification, Water Safety Instructor
  • Ability to work mornings, midday, evenings,weekends, and holidayAs well as April- September.

Pay Range: $16.80/hour (Seasonal Range 5, $16.80-$20.20)DOE
