Job Details

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead trust and estate litigation matters, including will contests, trust disputes, fiduciary litigation, and contested probate proceedings
  • Manage all phases of litigation: pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation
  • Develop case strategy and exercise sound judgment on complex legal and factual issues
  • Draft and argue substantive motions and appear in court on contested matters
  • Analyze estate planning documents, financial records, accountings, and fiduciary conduct
  • Work directly with clients, beneficiaries, trustees, executors, and expert witnesses
  • Collaborate closely with firm leadership on litigation strategy and case management
  • Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to the overall strength of the litigation team

Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
  • Active bar license in good standing
  • Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, with a strong preference for trust & estate or probate litigation
  • Strong legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
  • Experience handling hearings, depositions, and contested proceedings with minimal supervision
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple active matters

Work Environment
  • Onsite position in a collaborative office
