Position Overview:
As a Lifestyle Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day servicing of the Association and homeowners by providing exceptional service through ensuring that all programs and services are conducted and fulfilled in a manner consistent with the goals and objectives of the Association. This position serves as the point of contact for resident programs to include; but is not limited to recreational, social, cultural, travel, entertainment, and fitness for the Community. Responsibilities include program development, facility scheduling, administration of chartered clubs, and overall program promotion and publicity.
Compensation: $65,000 annual salary
FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, certifications, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Your Responsibilities:
- Maintains regular, positive, and professional communication and abides by the culture created to enhance, promote, and execute daily positive interactions between association members, vendors, and FirstService associates.
- Plans, coordinates, and implements resident programs, recreation and fitness classes, and special community-wide events. In planning, he/she solicits input and involvement from residents to further stimulate participation.
- Assists Members/Residents, chartered clubs, and community organizations in the scheduling of Association facilities, including program and room requirements, coordination with other Association departments; and, arrangements for the collection of fees as applicable.
- Publicizes events and programs through the Association newsletter and website, including the development of articles, photographs, proofreading, and advertising.
- Oversees the Newcomer presentations to ensure adequate promotion, room set-up, amenities, and community participation.
- Works with Residents/Members to assist in the establishment of chartered clubs. Provides assistance in the application for the charter process, assignment of facility space, development and promotion of programs, facilitates maintenance, and acts as a general overseer.
- Develop an active volunteer program among Residents/Members, providing for both promotion and recognition.
- Develops annual recreational, social, and fitness plan within budget and executes plan during the year staying within budget.
- Oversees the onsite HR-related matters to comply with the necessary procedures and laws with the full support of the HR department and Manager as it relates to the onsite staffing and 1099 Instructor Staff positions.
- Oversees the hiring and training process for verification of proper procedures and consistent standards to meet the expectations of the association.
- Monitors, verifies, and submits payroll accordingly, including reconciliation.
- Coordinates collection and preparation of operating reports, such as time‐and‐attendance records, terminations, and new hires.
- Assist with employee relation matters to include but not limited to, reviews, formal counseling, hiring, and terminations with guidance from the Community Manager.
- Attend training, organization, and industry functions as required.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules. Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional materials and supplies.
- May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain a specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work.
- Follow all company policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management.
- Perform any range of special projects, tasks, and other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Associate's degree with a concentration in business preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Proficiencies:
- Must possess a strong administrative background.
- Three (3) to Five (5) years 5+ of related work experience.
- Strong working knowledge of customer service principles and practices. Excellent interpersonal, office management, and communications skills. Self‐starter with excellent communication, interpersonal customer service, and telephone skills.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Windows software.
- Display a community posture that positively represents the vision of the Association and Organization.
- Be well-spoken so as to instill confidence in the homeowners that reside within the community as well as the public that may interact through designated programs.
- Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills.
- Organizational and time management abilities with the ability to implement and monitor progress for successful completion, working well under pressure and deadlines.
- Works effectively with coworkers, clients, customers, and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; addresses problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions.
- Strong ethical practices.
- Must be able and willing to work a variety of hours to meet the requirements of the position, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements and Working Environments:
- Position involves sitting, standing, and/or movement throughout the day. Must be able to transport yourself not only around the office but also around the Community Association.
- Performance of duties may require employees to be both inside and outside. Inside temperature will be controlled and the use of fluorescent lighting will exist. Outside may require employees to be exposed to the elements, which may include wind, rain, cold, snow, and extreme heat.
- Duties of maintaining files and records will involve stooping, bending, lifting, grasping, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects weighing as much as 50 lbs. This type of activity may occur several times throughout the day.
