Work Location: 281 SHORE DR, UNITS C AND D, Burr Ridge, IL
Contract to Hire: 03/16/2026 to 06/13/2026
Schedule: Overnight Rotation – 7 Days On / 7 Days Off (Wednesday–Tuesday)
Weekday Shift: 8:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Weekend Shift: 6:30 PM – 5:00 AM
Position Summary
The Pharmacy Floor Technician supports pharmacy operations by preparing prescription medications for final verification by a pharmacist. This role is responsible for picking, labeling, scanning, and organizing medications while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards. The technician works in a fast-paced environment and plays a key role in maintaining workflow and medication preparation processes.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately fill daily medication orders under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
Pick, label, and scan medications to prepare prescriptions for final pharmacist verification
Pull medications from shelving and storage areas, including prepack racks
Apply labels to blister cards and scan products to verify accuracy
Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medications or products that do not scan properly
Assist in processing returned medications and ensure proper recycling or disposal per procedures
Support prepacking of frequently ordered medications during low-volume periods
Package materials and products manually as needed
Maintain designated workstation areas and replenish necessary stock supplies
Follow all applicable federal and state regulations, including HIPAA compliance
Adhere to departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code
Work overtime, holidays, and weekends when required
Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Active and clear Illinois Pharmacy Technician License issued by the Illinois Board of Pharmacy
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Ability to work efficiently at a moderate pace in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working as a Pharmacy Technician
