Job Title: Pharmacy Floor Technician (Overnight)

Pay Rate: $23/hr (Paid Weekly)
Work Location: 281 SHORE DR, UNITS C AND D, Burr Ridge, IL
Contract to Hire: 03/16/2026 to 06/13/2026

Schedule: Overnight Rotation – 7 Days On / 7 Days Off (Wednesday–Tuesday)

  • Weekday Shift: 8:30 PM – 7:00 AM

  • Weekend Shift: 6:30 PM – 5:00 AM

Position Summary

The Pharmacy Floor Technician supports pharmacy operations by preparing prescription medications for final verification by a pharmacist. This role is responsible for picking, labeling, scanning, and organizing medications while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards. The technician works in a fast-paced environment and plays a key role in maintaining workflow and medication preparation processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately fill daily medication orders under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist

  • Pick, label, and scan medications to prepare prescriptions for final pharmacist verification

  • Pull medications from shelving and storage areas, including prepack racks

  • Apply labels to blister cards and scan products to verify accuracy

  • Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medications or products that do not scan properly

  • Assist in processing returned medications and ensure proper recycling or disposal per procedures

  • Support prepacking of frequently ordered medications during low-volume periods

  • Package materials and products manually as needed

  • Maintain designated workstation areas and replenish necessary stock supplies

  • Follow all applicable federal and state regulations, including HIPAA compliance

  • Adhere to departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code

  • Work overtime, holidays, and weekends when required

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Active and clear Illinois Pharmacy Technician License issued by the Illinois Board of Pharmacy

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

  • Ability to work efficiently at a moderate pace in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working as a Pharmacy Technician
