Licensed Home Inspector - Durham NC | Raleigh Area

Job Requirements:

• Must be fluent in English.
• Valid Texas driver's license and must have own vehicle adequate for traveling for work.
• Must be willing to travel typically within a 60-mile radius of your personal residence. (Mileage is reimbursed one-one way)
• Previous trades experience is a plus, e.g. roofing, framing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC etc.

Education, Experience, and Certifications:

• Must be licensed under the AZBTR as a Home Inspector.
• Must have performed more than 50 residential home inspections (preferred)
• InterNACHI Professional Home Inspector Certification (preferred)
• High school or equivalent (preferred)
• Construction trade experience (preferred)
• Recent and documented work in the home inspection industry (preferred)

Pay:

• Compensation is commission-based. Inspectors earn a percentage of the revenue from each completed inspection, with ancillary services paid at a predetermined flat rate.
• The standard commission rate is 38% of inspection revenue, increasing to 40% after six months of employment.
• Additional earning opportunities are available through approved upsells and ancillary services.
• Work volume is dependent on job availability and the inspector’s desired schedule.

Job Requirements:

• Understand the importance of quality and consistent customer service.
• Acquisition of basic home inspector tools (negatable depending on inspection requirements).
• Basic knowledge of residential home systems and components.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Great listening skills.
• Have the aptitude and mental ability to problem solve and conduct professional conversations with real estate agents and clients.
• Reliable transportation, valid drivers license, and auto insurance
• Must be able to work in various weather conditions, climb ladders, walk on roofs, access crawl space, enter attics as well as stand for long periods of time.
• Required to authorize background and driving checks.
