Job Title: LCSW or ACSW
Location: Sylmar, CA 91342
Pay Rate:
- LCSW: $48/hour
- ACSW: $35/hour
Responsibilities:
- Provide crisis intervention and psychosocial assessments for ED patients
- Conduct risk assessments for safety, abuse, neglect, and mental health concerns
- Assist with care coordination and discharge planning, including community referrals
- Offer emotional support to patients and families during emergencies
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
- Document assessments, interventions, and referrals in accordance with hospital standards
- Provide support in OB-related situations when needed (Labor & Delivery, NICU, etc.)
Qualifications:
- LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) or ACSW (Associate Clinical Social Worker) with strong clinical experience
- Experience in crisis intervention
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Emergency Department
- Strong assessment, communication, and de-escalation skills
- Knowledge of community resources and discharge planning
- Individuals experiencing homelessness
- Substance use and co-occurring disorders
- Grief and bereavement
- Maternal/OB populations (L&D, NICU)
- Patients in need of immediate crisis stabilization
