This is not your average architecture firm – it’s a small, dynamic team of experts including a licensed structural engineer, home inspector, and general contractor all under one roof. They’re looking for a Licensed Architect to join their close-knit team in Chicago, IL, offering a rare opportunity to partner directly with a seasoned architect on a wide variety of exciting residential and rooftop projects across the city.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Licensed Architect position include:
- Must be a Chicago Licensed Architect with at least 15 years of experience (Self-Certification strongly preferred)
- Strong knowledge of the 2019 Chicago Building Code and current Chicago Zoning Ordinance
- Comfortable leading and mentoring younger designers, ensuring zoning and code compliance
- Experience managing freelance projects and generating new business leads
- Previous hands-on construction experience and/or having designed/built your own home preferred
- Passionate about architecture but also has hobbies and interests outside of work
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Vectorworks (2D on Mac), with ability to manage production work
- Able to oversee projects from zoning to construction, collaborating closely with internal engineering and construction teams
Salary: $120,000 - $170,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
