The City of Saratoga Springs currently has an opening for a Seasonal Library Clerk; this is a full-time position-No Benefits with the Saratoga Springs Library for approximately 40 hours per week. This position is a Temporary Summer position from May 19th to August 22nd. This position is under the supervision of the Library Director. Library Clerk performs a variety of duties related to the circulation of materials, special programming and assisting patrons. This position requires attention to detail, good organization skills, some knowledge of library reference, circulation, cataloging and classification methods, practices and procedures and the ability to work positively with the general public. Library Clerks will be required to provide basic supervision to library volunteers during their designated volunteer shifts. They are responsible for shelving, checking in returns, emptying the book drops, shelf reading, and helping answer customer questions. No cash handling. No CPR or First Aid required for these positions.
