We are seeking a highly skilled Level A Equipment Technician with expert-level experience in electrical and electronic diagnostics. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of diesel agricultural and light construction equipment. The position is primarily shop-based, with occasional field service work using a company service truck.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (occasional Saturdays as needed)
Pay Range: $30–$40 per hour (based on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on electrical and electronic systems
- Service and repair diesel agricultural tractors (20–120 HP)
- Maintain and repair light construction equipment, including:
- Compact track loaders
- Skid steer loaders
- Mini excavators
- Loader backhoes
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical issues efficiently
- Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections
- Complete accurate service documentation and reports
- Occasionally perform field service calls using a service truck
- Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
Qualifications:
- Expert-level experience in electrical and electronic diagnostics (required)
- Strong background working with diesel engines and related systems
- Proven experience with agricultural and/or construction equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license (required)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Work Environment:
- Primarily in-shop setting
- Occasional outdoor and field service work in varying conditions
