We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Secretary this law firm in Greenwich, CT. This person will be true 1:1 support for a top attorney in their Trusts and Estates practice.
Client Details
This boutique law firm has offices in multiple states, and has been around for over 100 years. They are dedicated to excellent, white glove service to their clients, and are known for their tight-knit culture, and collaborative nature. This is one of their larger offices.
Description
- Manage and organize legal documents, correspondence, and case files accurately and efficiently.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and court appearances for attorneys.
- Prepare legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, and briefs under attorney supervision.
- Communicate with clients and other parties professionally on behalf of attorneys.
- Maintain accurate billing records and monitor deadlines to ensure timely submissions.
- Assist with legal research and gather information relevant to cases.
- Ensure compliance with legal procedures and confidentiality requirements.
- Provide general administrative support to attorneys and the broader legal team.
Profile
A successful Legal Secretary should have:
- 5+ years of experience supporting attorneys in a law firm setting, ideally within a trust and estates practice area
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, iManage, Olympus, Aderant, GEMS Westlaw, Lexis/Nexisand ChromeRiver, preferred
- Colleague degree preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with legal software and tools is advantageous.
