This role will oversee the day‑to‑day operational functions of a legal support team, ensuring efficient workflow, continuous improvement and high‑quality service delivery.

What You’ll Do:

As a Legal Operations and Support Supervisor, you will oversee the Legal Specialists and Legal Assistants at Sentry that provide critical support to the legal team.  You’ll also play a key role in establishing a legal operations function, allowing Sentry’s Legal Department to better understand the work we do to best align our efforts to Sentry’s strategic initiatives.   In addition, you will...

  • Collect and analyze data on legal activities, performance metrics, and spend to provide insights for strategic decision-making.

  • Oversee implementation and optimization of legal technology solutions like e-billing, matter management, and legal spend analytics to streamline tasks and improve efficiency.

  • Assist the Legal Department in managing its legal spend and relationships with outside counsel to ensure cost-effectiveness and predictability.

  • Analyze existing legal processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement more efficient workflows and technology to enhance productivity and reduce manual effort.

  • Develop systems for organizing and sharing legal knowledge, precedents, and best practices within the department.

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of legal support staff while monitoring quality, efficiency and compliant deliverables.

  • Ensure work is appropriately delegated and aligned with team strengths and capacity, fostering a collaborative, accountable and service oriented team culture.

  • Develop, motivate and recognize the team of legal support professionals.

What it Takes:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience

  • 3+ years of related work experience

  • Demonstrated communication skills with evidenced experience implementing or managing legal technology tools

  • Demonstrated ability to design and improve processes experience implementing or optimizing legal technology solutions strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work with all levels of company management, stakeholders, customers and outside counsel

  • Strong understanding of in-house legal departments operations and workflows

  • Proficiency with legal case management systems, document management tools

  • Protects and maintains confidentiality and privilege of all legal matters including the most confidential human resources, business and Board matters handled within the company
