Job Details

Job Details / Responsibilities:

Manage end-to-end legal billing processes for 25–30 attorneys, including preparation, review, and submission of 700–1,000 prebills per coordinator
Ensure accurate client invoicing, time entry validation, narrative editing, and compliance with client billing guidelines
Handle complex billing adjustments, write-downs, discounts, and special billing arrangements
Coordinate with attorneys and billing partners to resolve discrepancies and obtain approvals
Maintain precise billing records, track unbilled time, and support collections efforts as needed
Utilize legal billing systems to generate reports, monitor billing cycles, and ensure timely month-end close
Adapt to firm growth and evolving billing requirements while upholding high standards of accuracy
Collaborate closely with finance, accounting, and practice group teams for seamless operations

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of dedicated legal billing experience in a law firm environment (big law or large firm preferred)
Proven track record of handling high-volume prebills (ideally 700+ per cycle) and supporting 25+ attorneys
Demonstrated stability in previous roles with minimal job hopping and long tenure in billing positions
Strong attention to detail with verifiable duties in legal billing (beyond just title)
Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage attorney relationships and deadlines
Clean, professional resume presentation with no formatting errors or inconsistencies
