Midas Hospitality is seeking a Legal Assistant to join our team. This position will assist collecting, preparing and filing necessary documents while assisting the in-house counsel.


What You Will Be Doing:

  • File documentation as it relates to cases.

  • Assist attorneys by collecting, reviewing and summarizing information to ensure compliance and identify potential issues.

  • Prepare and file necessary documents with relevant city, county, state and federal agencies to apply for and renew licenses, etc.

  • Review, analyze, organize and track contracts.

  • Assist with entity formation and maintenance.

  • Assist with document and contract preparation.

  • Organize and maintain legal paperwork, files, exhibits and other important information for clients.

  • Compose legal reports for lawyers regarding various aspects of a case.

  • Stay up to date on legal procedures and regulations as they relate to the paralegal's field of practice.

  • Conduct various types of research related to laws, legal articles and other information relevant to a case.

  • Perform a variety of administrative tasks including filing paperwork, answering phones and sending emails.

  • Perform legal research including statutory and case law and drafts forms, research memoranda, proposed rule, orders and other documents.

  • Conduct in-depth legal research using various online and offline resources to support attorneys in case preparation and analysis.

  • Prepare summaries, drafts, contracts and other legal documents according to established guidelines.

  • Review legal documents and ensure accuracy.

  • Assist attorneys in organizing and managing case files, including maintaining document databases and electronic records.

  • Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys and other legal personnel.

  • Take part in meetings to discuss case developments.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all client and case information.


The Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in legal studies preferred or equivalent certification from paralegal program
  • Previous experience as paralegal or legal assistant preferred
  • Notary public certification preferred
