Position Title: Legal Assistant- Banking
Location: Houston, Texas
Assignment Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $65,000 - $90,000
Work Schedule: On site, Monday–Friday, 8:00-5:00 PM
Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
Job Duties:
- Support a pod of ~4 attorneys within the Banking & Finance practice
- Draft, revise, and proof legal documents
- Organize and maintain correspondence and electronic files
- Arrange meetings, travel, CLE tracking, and appointments
- Prepare electronic closing binders and assist with private offering docs
- File with Secretary of State and perform e-filing
- Review pre-bills and invoices
- General administrative and legal operations support
Qualifications:
- 3–5+ years of legal assistant experience (banking or finance law preferred)
- Strong MS Office skills; Aderant or legal billing software preferred
- 70+ WPM typing speed
- Strong understanding of state/county court systems and legal docs
- High attention to detail, team-oriented, adaptable, and a self-starter
