Our highly reputable legal firm client is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role will provide you with the opportunity to utilize your skills in case management, medical malpractice, drafting pleadings, and electronic filing of legal documents. You will be an integral part of our team, working closely with attorneys and other legal professionals.

Job Details

Responsibilities:
1. Assisting with case management, including organizing and maintaining case files, tracking deadlines, and coordinating with team members to ensure all case-related tasks are completed in a timely manner.
2. Providing support in medical malpractice cases, including reviewing medical records, conducting research, and assisting with the preparation of legal documents.
3. Drafting pleadings and other legal documents under the supervision of attorneys.
4. Electronically filing pleadings and other court documents, ensuring all filings are accurate and comply with court rules and procedures.
5. Assisting with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, preparing trial binders, and coordinating witness schedules.
6. Communicating with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and others in a professional and courteous manner.
7. Performing other legal support tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a legal assistant or in a similar role in the legal industry.
2. Proven experience in case management, medical malpractice, drafting pleadings, and electronic filing of pleadings.
3. Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and legal document formatting.
4. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
6. High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Proficiency in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. A paralegal certificate or equivalent legal education is preferred but not required.
